Do you sincerely believe that most muslims (Islamics) believe in, support, or defend the use of terrorism? The killing of innocent civilians? In Islamic Jihad, the killing of any and all infidels to achieve their ends? Even the millions of Muslims who live in other than the middle east? Like the U.S.? These people are "Islamists" too.
I don't, not for a minute. I think that what you abhor is the actions of a very, very few, a radical fringe, those terrorists and those who support terrorists and their actions.
And I would agree that it is high time for those Muslims who don't agree with these things to speak out and condemn them. On this very thread in recent days have been posted some statements from moderate Muslim leaders who have begun that very practice.
We need more of it.
A final point. It is important to remember that our war is NOT agains Islam. It is against Islamic terrorism and terrorists. |
