mixed messages are the substance of kerry's words. hard work is the substance that takes ideas to solutions. Kenneth E. Phillipps is seems cannot muster any defense of kerry and the well articulated arguments put forth by Ed Gillespie Kenneth E. Phillipps, your one sentence is not a mixed message. One sentence defines unwilling or unable to do the hard work of explaining any substance in the words or deeds of kerry. The President repeated "mixed messaages" and "hard work" many times it seems the meaning still escapes those who support kerry.
