IBD's polling puts the race at a dead heat: 45%-45%. Most other polls giving Bush the lead indicate the Bush lead is within the margin of error. That's hardly a ringing vote of confidence for the President. Other polls indicate a significant majority feel the country is "headed in the wrong direction". That's an indication that the President is skating on thin ice. Doesn't it bother you that a "sleezeball", among your more colorful adjetives for Kerry, can be in a statistical "dead heat" with your hero? All in all, the polls are always interesting - but there only one poll that counts, and we won't know the results until November.
