American Spirit: (Here is a revised vversion, you were correct to point out that my original post implied that Kerry and Fonda worked together.) You insist on ignoring the probability that Vietnam would have surrendered if not for John Kerry and Jane Fonda (along with a few of their respective friends). Of course North Vietnamese Colonel Bui Tin, and General Vo Nguyen Giap might have been lying when they said this. Maybe they wanted to demoralize their countrymen who thought they won. Do you think that was why they put that in their respective books? Bui Tin received the surrender documents. Vo Nguyen Giap was the military leader during the war. The people who campaigned against the Vietnam War managed to turn near victory into defeat. They caused the loss of many additional American serviceman lives. This is why veteran groups do not like Kerry. Kerry appears to be proposing the same strategy for Iraq. Please explain the difference to this person who cannot distinguish the difference. vwam.com freerepublic.com As far as movies, they get written to reflect the viewpoint of the writers and producers. Movies then get edited for dramatic effect. If you want to see great examples of the perversion of history in movies, just watch Fahrenheit 911 or any Oliver Stone movie.
