Sounds like as good a guess as any to me. There are so many people now convinced that mutual funds --both in and out of IRAs-- are as safe as bank accounts that they are not likely to stop putting money into them until there's a protracted decline. Which could make the decline protracted. Or so I think. Actually flows in and out reverse pretty quickly at times.
