Yes I do respect all soldiers. It takes courage to fight. But then, one must look at the politics since war is an extension of politics by other means.

Does the end justify the means?

In the game of life and death, yes. It's a game of survival. You or me. If I survive, I have the rest of my life to come to terms and work things out mentally or emotionally. But if I'm dead, I'm dead.

If you are going to place me in a situation of life and death, the other guy is going to die without remorse on my part.

Political correctness or niceties don't have a place in war. There isn't a way to kill people in a kind and considerate way. I'm of the opinion that one must do what ever it takes survive and win.

I might add Webster, that I stated on this thread, before the war started, that I was against the war. I was against it because I know what it would take to win it and I don't think this country is committed to paying that price.
