I think the time he blew his earpiece, pling-plong at the podium, was before he spoke side-by-side with Chirac.
(that was the next day)

Not to forget, the audio channels reversed in terms of "what to tell Bush to say" and "Bush saying it".

Unluckily, because of respect for the US institution, those funny minutes were not archived even by CSPAN.

Anyway, I posted an SI-message asking if this was aired only in yurope, and somebody (an SI-woman) replied it had actually been aired in USA too.

PS CSPAN , if they get their servers sorted out, will probably have all presidential debates back to Nixon-Kennedy available on monday?
