Public interest lawyers continue to demand investigation of Kerry's naval record

Though the Navy has issued an opnion on John Kerry's military decorations based on a causual review of the existing records, the public interest law firm, Judicial Watch is not giving up on exposing the truth about the controversial awards. The Navy is saying that the records (many written by Kerry himself) support the awarding the medals. By dimissing any further enquiries the Navy is ignoring that testimony of eye witnesses to the events that dispute Kerrys account. Judicial Watch, which originally forced the Navy to respond to allegations of fraud in the awarding of the medals, is not satisfied with the Navy's response and say that unless the service reveals what records were used to establish the facts of the case they will file suit in order to bring out the truth. They also want to know why the Kerry campaign was notified about the Navy's decision before they were, something that is highly irregular.
