<<...They spent one segment on it but it came across at worst a draw. Clift and O'Donnell really have found their energy. They literally shouted down Buchanan and Blankely several times during the show. Also it is now very apparent that McGlaughlin (sorry, guessing at the spelling) is pro-Kerry. One bright spot in the talk show spectrum. After Buchanan started in on the global test bit, John interrupted and read the precedeing sentences from the debate transcript that revealed what a distortion Buchanan had made. Buchanan kept at it but you could tell his heart wasn't in it. Blankely tried to tie it to the "permission slip" concept but was dramatically smacked down by Clift and O'Donnell. Anybody who did not see the debate, but watched the clips shown by McGlaughlin and the show's discussion would come away with the correct impression that the Bushies were doing the typical thing: isolate a statement out of context and distort it. In the end all the panelists said Kerry had won the debate...>>
