Al I haven't seen any news to cause this either. I can only think that there is a wait and see attitude on this one. They had a track record and earnings stream based on proprietary products and hardware and I gather they are intentionally dropping their approach toward the more open systems approach and lower pricing. This is signified both by the Oracle deal and the drop in hardware prices. This may be the right thing to do but nobody knows how to value it. In addition the Oracle contract won't even start to kick in revenues for another 2 months so look for a tough next quarter. This could explain the drop to 5.5. In addition, the market is only looking at companies right now with established earnings track records and trashing companies with any uncertainty about future earnins. Unfortunately for us, CRNR is in the "uncertain" group.
I would like to know more about the possible revenues from the Oracle deal, and the software tool kit sales for InputAccel and Pegasus. If anybody has an estimate of their impact please post!
