Why am I not surprised?

I think the best thing to do when a thread is moderated in a way one disagrees with is to boycott the thread.
Why not take on the threadhead about his arbitrary or prejudiced banning? You may get banned (as happened to me when I did precisely that to Chinu) bit his prejudices are out there for all to see.

I also think that there should be places where people of like mind can go without being harrassed. They exist on both sides. It's fair.
The problem is that it has gone too far- -and there's probably no way to prevent that. As it is, the site more and more is becoming isolated islands that have no contact with each other. You don't like Kerry? Off my thread! You don't like Bush? The boot! There are many who seemingly spend all their time on SI on one side or the other and never hear a dissneting opinion and never see a dissenting fact. That's the way to war, not debate.
