Japan didn't believe they were in an economic depression until interest rates essentially reached zero. Then their realization came in an instant.

Your inability to understand the cause-and-effect connection between excessive debt and economic depression has prevented you from seeing current economic conditions in clear focus. Like a myopic Mr. Magoo, about to walk off the edge of a cliff, you pronounce the path ahead "is clear of all obstacles".

Don't worry. You'll be able to learn about this connection from actual personal experience.

Dick Cheney's assertion, "Ronald Reagan proved that debt doesn't matter" will ring hollow in your ears and you'll wonder why you were ever foolish enough to listen to this nonsense. I suspect you'll acquire an interest in economics later in life.
