Good question. In 1992, we were not at war. In fact we didn't even seem to have any threats in the world. What we did have though was a unrecovered economy, huge debt loads and high unemployment. Clinton was elected for those reasons. Also, Bush Sr. just didn't seem to have any real reason for being president anymore. To give the rich a tax cut? LOL Talk about an elitist pretty rich kid grown up, Bush Sr. is the epitomy. Why give tax breaks to the country club set? That was Bush Sr.'s only real beef with Clinton, wasn't it?
