Point taken, but my reference was more to guns and butter. True for Reagan too, I mean there was Grenada -g-

and Star Wars!

Also GDP is one measure, but there are dozens of ways to cut this pie and get a completely different picture.

My main point is that there is a lot of spending on Bush's watch.

But debt, deficits, and trade imbalances don't matter anymore.
