The black "ocean" directly above South Korea is North Korea. Notice that the only bright spot in sub-Saharan Africa is South Africa. Notice how much brighter Israel is than the rest of the Middle East, even Iran and Iraq. When Barnett talks about "the Core" vs. "the Gap", there it is in dark blue and bright white. We don't have to worry (much) about the areas on the map that are lit up. The terrorists live in the dark spots. Honestly, compared to other wars, we have not spent very much in terms of manpower or military ordinance or financial commitment. I asked you this before and never got an answer - how many American troops are worth how many Iraqi children?
