Hi Condor,
I went to the Toronto Resource show today ... Met quite a few SI cyber aquaintances in the flesh... Quite a good time...

I asked this specifically to one analyst... (who is high on China, has made several trips there and in fact just returned) What are the implications for these two nickel stocks CNI and JNI (I own CNI and CNI warrants) of the Chinese Noranda alleged bid. Anyway after a brief pause... he gave me this very interesting answer... he was not of the opinion that there would be any significant impact... for you see China is not buying a fantastic mining company... they are buying knowhow, expertise, a foothold and a training ground... then they will do it themselves ;o)

Much like China's attempt to gain O&G exploration experience on a global scale by JV's in their coastal waters which are now falling through since the majors they partnered with do not think the potential warrants continued investment... I can't dig up the link on the O&G story but it's recent as of the last few days...
