So, an untreated depressive is five times more
likely to commit suicide by not taking Paxil.

There you have it, a very useful drug that
is overprescribed. The more useful stat
is an estimate of how many suicides are
prevented versus how many are created by
the drug.

I would expect thousands are saved but
dozens are lost? You tell me, but no
phoney baloney--I will find the answer too.

Frankly, I would not medicate my kid. A minor
investment of good nutrition, a happy environment,
sufficient sleep, and basic parental behaviour
modification now and then seems to do the trick.
Of course many parents are morons and should not
have kids, so there you are.
