So how do you decide what to believe will be Kerry's real policy? I go with my knowledge of the man, which I think is more than most peoples' since I live in Massachusetts.

I admit I do not know that much about Kerry and I don't know all that much about Bush - except that George W. Bush has been our President for nearly the last four years - and we in the general public know a lot more about him than we do about Kerry.

My job is to find out about their character and their ability to lead our country.

I don't want Karl Rove and the Fox Cable network to define Kerry for me and I don't want James Carville and or Dan Rather and CBS news to define George W. Bush for me.

I want to hear what they, the candidates themselves, have to say about the issues - now - at the moment. Not clippling out fragments of sentences from 5, 10, 20, 30 years ago when something was said in a different time and under different circumstances.

I want to hear (if they can't speak, they perhaps could put it in writing - something they wrote themselves) what they feel and the vision they have for America.

If you are to lead, I want to make sure we are hearing your thoughts (either verbally or in writing). I want a reality check. Where you stand at the moment.

PS: the problem with a written docuent is that we can not be sure the candidate actually wrote the document himself or not.

As an exampe, Nelson Rockafeller never read his own autobiography. Charles Barkley (the basketball player) said he was misquoted ih his own autobiography.
