If they back Allawi, then he's the guy we should go with. If they don't then we better be finding out WHO they would both support (that's not totally anti-U.S. and not a fundamentalist) and back THAT guy, but trying to ram our own guy (Allawi) down their throats . . . Who says we get any say over who the Iraqi's choose to elect? No one in the Bush administration has suggested we are going to "back" any particular candidate for office there, much less "ram our own guy down their throats." It about the process - that it's fair, democratic and viewed by the Iraqi people as legitimate - not "our guy" vs. "their guy." Are you trying to set up a straw man to tear down?
