It's not surprising at all.

At SI you get the absolutely least common denominator
of liberals and Kerry supporters. As a generalization,
these folks are almost caricatures. (I suspect that's
due to the anonymity of the web, the like-mindedness of
their audience, and the fact that they filter out any contrary POV.
Sometimes one needs a mirror in order to realize how
stupid s/he sounds.)

The scary thing to me is that there are really 3-D folks
who are as one dimensional in their thinking as these types.
All they can do is repeat DNC lines like a mantra.
