Maybe this is OT, but everything interesting is OT when it comes to SUNW anyway.

If your and Charles' hypothesis has any truth to it, it seems strange. Why would markets, whose primary participants are the very recipients of the upward wealth transfers that the Bush cabal aims to initiate and/or accelerate, seem to cheer for Kerry, who as president would be perhaps (slightly) less of a pure upward wealth pump?

Maybe it's because the markets in their collective wisdom recognize that the Bushites, in their frenzy to roll back the social and political progress made by the U.S. in the 20th century and restore a more lopsided socio-economic hierarchy, is likely to destroy everything good that came out of 20th century US history?

Something along those lines. But if so, it's really a matter of the whole being smarter than the sum of the parts.
