My golf partner is a democrate, her husband, who's my husband's golfing partner, is about as far right as we are. They don't discuss politics and, on ocassion, neither do I but I guess that little demon was sitting too heavy on my shoulder this weekend because I just had to as her how she could still support Kerry after the debate. What did he say that made her feel so secure in her heart of hearts that Kerry was the man for the job. And why would she vote for a man for President of the United States who was going to turn over the decessions to the United Nations. Did she really want Kofi Annon but couldn't vore for him because he wasn't an American?
Bless her heart, he game fell apart after that.
Now, I didn't bring up this subject first, she made a comment that I just couldn't pass on. I drive a Lexus, she drives a Honda. She made the comment, jokingly, that the Alaska wilderness was truly in danger if people like me didn't get rid of our gas guzzling high priced cars. And then, as they say, the rest is history. We're not playing next Sunday. She told me I might wanna take that time and attend Mass, clear my head and cleanse my soul. I told her that being the Southern Baptist that she was, she really should be at home cooking, cleaning and bleaching those boxers of her husbands cause after you starch 'em, those skid marks are a bitch to get out and while we were on the topic of her duties, I've noticed she's been leaving the house without his permission a few times, isn't that against the party protocal? |
