The Catholic Church granted an Annulment. Annulment are granted only when the marraige was not proper in the eyes of God in the first place. kerry or the first wife misrepresented something at the time vows were exchanged. The first wife wrote about the fact that she felt the annulment was totally wrong. There were two children, thus clearly the marriage was consumated.

All the above is a matter of record. The laws of the Church show the logic and truth of my comment. I see nothing that reflects badly on kerry's first wife or his children. But kerry's conduct seems quite selfish.
