You need to read the arguments of folks like Tocqueville -- they make a compelling argument concerning the amount of money invested in gold versus what is in other financial assets. I am not saying it is going to happen -- BUT!! it is certainly not ridiculous or some stupid goldbug's wet dream either ... check back in 3 years and let me know how stupid we all were ... I am sure in 94 -- if someone had said the nascrap would see 5000 at the end of the decade they would have heard similar shrill remarks ... Where did Gold bottom -- how much is it up from there?? I know a lot of folks that when we talked about it breaking 300 thought we were full of it -- 400 was a complete pipe dream -- so it goes. You go ahead and tell the markets what is possible -- have fun.
