Which doesn't make your teenagers any smarter or more experienced or increase their judgement. Surely you would not argue that.

Given that, you are likely to be better off having older and wiser heads that have seen more make these decisions.

And, as a counter to your statements, I cite the Children's Crusade when the those young heads did get their way about fighting a war. If you don't know how that ended up, look it up.
