Poll Results Show Race for President Is Again a Dead Heat
nytimes.com

EXCERPTS:
In both a head-to-head matchup and a three-way race including Ralph Nader, the Republican and Democratic tickets each won the support of 47 percent of registered voters surveyed in the poll.

Last month, Mr. Bush led Mr. Kerry by 50 to 42 percent in a two-way race and 50 to 41 in a three-way race.

AND:
Mr. Kerry appears to have come off well in the debate, which respondents to the poll said the Democrat won by a 60 to 23 margin.

MY COMMENT: 23% of Americans must have watched a different debate. Kerry crushed Bush on substance and style.
