| If a democratic president had gotten us in to a war and we later found out all reasons for the war were wrong, would the republicans go quite into that good night, or would they be exuberantly angry? Well, since we already know how angry they can get about a president lying about a certain sex act, and sex with a coworker, I think we all know the answer- and yet they go around saying how shocked, yes SHOCKED, they are, that the liberals are so upset. I have to ROFL. At the beginning of this whole debacle I used to say in my angry anti-war posts- well if WMDS ARE found, and it does appear we were in danger, I'll admit I was wrong. Unfortunately the republicans do not appear to be able to admit that- no, they wonder why the intelligence led them astray. I'd like to see some of the folks who promised me there would be WMD's found (or who said they KNEW they HAD been found :-) I remember a couple of very funny posts like that) say, "oops, my bad, I was completely and totally wrong." It's not gonna happen, which actually makes it clear just how extreme some folks are. And they call us extreme. At least I can leave open the possibility I'm wrong- and will admit when I am. Unfortunately I was right about no WMD's and about no Iraq AQ link- but that should have been a pretty obvious result to anyone who knows anything about the aims of AQ and the aims of Saddam- they were not the kind of enemies who could easily share the covers if they got into bed together. Ah the posts I posted about that!!! And the answers I got !!! :-) If Rummy can sort of, kind of, admit the administration was wrong on everything, maybe the folks on SI will come around- in about 10 years. |
