What is this clarification Rumsfeld posted today? This could not be considered a "flip-flop" by any rational listener, could it? Yesterday in answer to a question in front of the Foreign Affairs Council he knew of no hard connection between al-Quieda and Iraq....today (presumably after ass-whippin by Cheney), he was "misunderstood". Misspoke, maybe...but misunderstood? His statement was as clear as could be imagined. Republicans don't flip-flop, however. Only Democrats. So we must have misunderstood him.
