Ten generations from Adam to Noah and ten more from Noah to Abraham. Jewish scholars have recently concluded that there have been 109 generations from Abraham to today which means there are 129 generations from Adam to today.

3500/ 129 = 27 years per gereration which is about right, taking us back to Adam or our common ancestor.

Going back further the article states that most of the people were common to todays populations however there were a certain number that were not common to anyone alive today.

What I was thinking is that the people that did not have any common ancestors might have been those people that came from the union of sons of God ( angels i.e. fallen angels ) that committed fornication with the daughters of the earth and were banished to hell.

Those races of people of which came giants like Goliath , were destroyed, even the women and children.

This is a main reason that Abraham sent his servant to his kindred to secure a wife for Isaac. Rebecca was at the well and drew water not only for Abrahams servant but also for the servants ten camels. Abraham was intent on a pure race.

It is just speculation but I also think that the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah has something to do with the fallen angels. If you recall the destruction of Sodom and the cities of the plain happened the very next day after God and two angels appeared unto Abraham to tell he and Sarah that they would give birth to Issac... thus protecting the seed of Abraham....

Just a few thoughts....gregor
