Steve, I wonder if JF realizes the cost of implementing a "livable minimum wage." Here in California, we have a minimum wage of $6.75, higher than the national minimum of $5.15. Yet we also have like an estimated 5-10% of the population being illegal immigrants and taking jobs that supposedly no one else wants. I guarantee you that most of them are being paid below minimum wage. Meanwhile, some of our state legislators want to raise that minimum again to something like $7.50. Great idea, increase the demand for illegal immigrants even more.

By the way, one of the biggest employers of illegal immigrants in California is ... you guessed it, Korean small businesses. Of course, no one wants to attack them, least of all me, so instead let's attack the Wal-marts and the Halliburtons of this nation first. But for [expletive deleted] sake, let's leave Heinz out of this!
