A Mozilla (Firefox & Thunderbird) Discussion Board ...

... has just been started:

Subject 55208

If there are participants here using the Mozilla Suite, Firefox, and/or Thunderbird, or considering using any of them, they might want to check in from time to time.

I'm a GUI Browser "Oldie" dating back to Global Network Navigator (GNN) days of late 1993 and the original Mosaic and Netscape public betas of 1994, but I am definitely a Firefox and T-Bird "Newbie."

IE6 and Outlook Express are my default browser and e-mail clients of choice, but so far I like what I see of Firefox and Thunderbird and am using them daily so I hope to share experiences with other users while I get myself up to speed on these alternatives.

In addition I like the concept of standards based open source, and I believe in competition, so I am hopeful to see Mozilla succeed.

Possibly the Mozilla board, if we get participation, can be a resource for this board. At this stage. I personally am not much of a resource. Just a "Newbie."

I've seeded the board with a few good links and kick off with a short history of the "Rise and Fall of the Netscape Empire."

Best,

- Eric -
