You were the one that responded to my post...and now I'm annoying you?

You know someone that has been to the ME? Ohhh what an expert you seem to be.

I never said the Iraq war was about 9/11

But Bush said as much. Even during the debate he referenced the attack on 9-11 as the reason to attack Iraq.

but I would bet Saddam was thick as theives with radical elements and terrorist branches

There is much intelligence that suggests that Saddam and bin Laden were at odds. Laden the islamist and Saddam the secularist. Even the 9-11 commission says no connection between Saddam and 9-11.

as for Israel and Palestine, you might want to look at who the PLO were and are and what their mission was and is

If you are truly a student of history as you profess, then you would know that the Palestinians were displaced from their lands with the creation of the state of Israel. The Palestinians have endured as much discrimination from the Jews as the Jews received from Hitler. Do you think this might be the cause for the friction in the ME?

When you lose you home and your land...it tends to make one angry. I understand the plight of the Palestinians.

Did they have bad leadership? Yes they did...and a more peaceful solution could have...and should have been found.

With Bush, our nation turned away from the conflict in the ME. He did this with a deteriorating situation, where some guidance from the US could have been helpful. So much progress was made in the ME under Clinton...yet Bush declared no interest. It's been down hill ever since for the ME and this country.

"Global test" means how will this action affect my neighborhood. That's right the world is small...it's a neighborhood...and it's important that we get along with our neighbors. With Bush, our nation's govenment is at an all time low in the approval rating. How can any president be proud of such an accomplishment.

Providing for the security of the nation, and enjoining the world in a common cause of peace do not need to be mutually exclusive as the republicans want you to believe. I can't belive that Bush actually says that Kerry will put the security of the nation in the hands of France. Kerry would never cede that decision to France or any other nation...nor would any president.

But that does not meant that we simply thumb our nose at the world either. Bush is the most dangerous president we have ever had. He has made our country less secure. We have never been so hated in the world. That is not what this country stands for. We stand for peace and democracy and working together with our neighbors.
