You take every blip downward as a signifigant trend.

The very long, long, and even medium turn trends is that people in the US are getting wealthier.

The number of people without health insurance is increaseing primarily because the increased cost of health insurance, which increases primarily because the increased cost of health care. One of the reasons for the increased cost of health care is the effect of the way insurance coverage is structured. People have less incentive to shop around for a good price if "my insurance will pay for it", esp. when many people's insurance coverage is subsidized by their employer. Other more positive reasons for the increase include the fact that there are more treatments available now including some very expensive ones and that people are living longer.

The country is going further in to debt primarily because of increases in spending. Of course Bush gets a lot of blame for that but the blame should be put on the right thing.

You seem happy with the status quo.

No really. Taxes and spending should be much lower.
