The UN, through 1546, has called upon countries to step up and help in Iraq. 30 countries have as I recall. And more should. he UN is only effective Let's tell the truth - the UN is always ineffective. they did not support the unilateral US invasion of Iraq and rightly hesitate to come in They did not hesitate to approve 1546. Maybe the Democratic candidate should announce that the US request for more assistance is a bipartisan request. No, not maybe. He should if he cared as much about his country as he does getting elected.
