You didn't say anything except the Taliban had curtailed opium growing and Northern Alliance hadn't. So what do you conclude from that - that the Taliban was better? Oh no, you wouldn't say that. But what then? I don't see you saying anything else. So why not conclude you're just implying what you won't come out and say?

I think you know only someone as brutal as the Taliban could lay down the law in a big rural land filled with poor people.
