I heard the debate on the radio. I would have rated it as about even. Cheney better with crispness of his answers and clear and articulate on the stretegy and Edwards on the offense all the time (but sounded very tired at about a 1-hour point). I would have guessed the polls (about who won the debate) to be about even or even slightly favoring Cheney.

However, the last I checked foxnews.con, Edwards was leading 56-42 on foxnews and 79-18 on CNN!

Here's what I think must have helped Edwards :
1. Consistently talk about what people see on TV every night and Governments claim about success in iraq and war on terror.
2. Attack Halliburton connection.
3. demonstrate how Bush/cheney were flip-flopping with examples.
4. Closing statement.

Cheney came out like he had a good idea about the end game. How things would look like after the clouds are lifted. He had done his homework with 'facts' and seemed very comfortable with not agreeing with gay/lesbian issue with Bush. The last question probably did (and should) hurt him, when he admitted that he was dissappointed with not being able to unite the country in the last 4 years.

Bum.
