Sure, if texture memory is stored in system RAM, AGP will move it 4X faster. What I'm saying is instead of a measley 2MB texture buffer, increase it to 8MB or so. It only adds about $25 to the cost of the card. For the higher end market 3Dfx is marketing this is not much. I see some cards are now coming with more memory than the original Orchid Voodoo card.

Actually I think AGP is a very good idea, but only if it's cheap and readily available.
