Your responses are confusing me. What is it that you think the UN is good for then? in what ways do you feel we need to subjugate ourselves to the UN? Don't you see something truly obscene about the makeup of the HRC?

I have made my position re. the UN very clear. Smarter Americans than you felt there was a need for a world body after WW II. I happen to agree with that premise; more so now than ever.

You have not answered the question. What is the UN good for? No-one disputes that people saw the need for a world body in the 20th century. The organization has become corrupt. Until that is addressed, it is not worth the cost.

It appears that you are a proponent for larger and larger governments. I am a proponent for local control. On that we will have to agree to disagree.

You said you don't like the freerepublic.com because they might say something to support the President. Is it reasonable to assume then that you don't like CBS, NBC, ABC< CNN, PBS, Reuters, or AP because they overwhelmingly "report" in a way that supports Democrats, and Kerry?

Sites like freerepublic are the mouthpieces for the radical right. They openly say what more mainstream Republics are afraid to say outside their homes. Their news is often not factual and is usually based on innuendo or hearsay. I don't buy my food from McDonald's........why should I get my news from the media equivalent?

As I said originally, that site as just the first one that I found that had the story. It was on dozens more. You would shoot the messenger and not learn because you prefer the opinions offered by the liberal media. CBS for example, was caught reporting on news that was not factual. CBS and other liberal journalists have said that you must apologize when you are caught. That is not journalism. Journalists are supposed to report facts, not opinion. You do not just apologize when you are caught; you fix the system. Opinions belong on the OP ED page.

That is the difference between you and me. I am not too good for common food, and do eat at McDonalds. I am not too good to get factual news because it does not coordinate with the drivel that the biased media is feeding me. Are you too good to check out unbiased medial outlets? Do you prefer to get the nightly liberal slant from NYT, and the five liberal TV outlets?
