That's essentially the same thing; body controls the mind.

If you are an "average American", you have chosen a toothpaste with antifreeze in it, you chose to ingest and artificial sweetener that is a neurotoxin, your shampoo has formaldehyde in it and you happily consume food with dioxin in it. Your choice is to allow your body's pH to be around 5.2 (an acidic environment) and rather than simply correct those things by stopping the exposure to and intake of toxic material, you're being told that you need to take a mind altering drug to "balance things out".

My point is simply this: if ingested chemicals can alter one's mental state (which they obviously can), a body might be better served by choosing to remove the toxic input. Better physical health could result in less depression.
