Weren't you the one promoting the superiority of European socialized medicine systems over the US model?

I was pointing out that there are metrics which indicate that the health care systems in a number of countries achieve better results at a lower cost. England has a "socialized" health care system component [as you like to call it] and a private health care system component; the US has a "socialized" health care system component and a private health care system component.

Are there limits in the UK on award amounts, particularly for pain and suffering?

Why would you care? The US is the best.

Maybe I didn't find the right search terms, but google seems unaware of this.

Sometimes that happens.

We wait with bated breath for your detailed explanation.

You told me to "shut up"... As the civil litigation rate per capita was higher in the early 1800s than it is today. It's not a new problem. Go figure out yourself why they decided to leave the litigation system the way it is.

For additional credit: Figure out why the punitive damages for seeing Janet's breast for a second should be higher than the punitive damages proposed by Bush for medical malpractice leading to a person's death.
