Ted, I think between 100 and 200 years. I think issues like global warming and the depletion of the world's fisheries will push it along.

The resolution of those issues are pipe dreams. China, for instance, will start contributing tremendously to greenhouse gases, while fishing is a vital part of the economies of many nations.

But going back to world government, the thing that will ease it along is interracial and intercultural marriages, as well as the globalization of pop culture like sports, movies, and other activities. Of course, that's not a trend that can occur within one or two generations.
