POMPANO BEACH, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 3, 2003
Koala International Wireless Inc. (OTCBB:KIWI), a developer and integrator of web-based, wireless network applications and wireless device technology, announced today that its new subsidiary company, Digiplates Software, launched the live beta testing for its new version 2.0 of the company's web based Project Management Suite. The server side application is designed to work seamless in the desktop environment, and pocket PC wireless devices using a standard web browser (http://www.kiwimobile.com).
KIWI and its subsidiary, Digiplates Software, plans to sell the service as a monthly ASP service starting at $59 to $299 a month, as a stand-alone desktop and wireless application with an ASP service, and branded solutions for larger service providers looking to add valuable application layered services to their current ISP offerings. The ASP service is scalable and enables a series of unique and prolific corporate and enterprise Hot Spot services. Third party providers will be able to license the server application, and deploy to their respective client devices and interfaces. Sign up for a free 30-day trial account today at:

The software is packed with useful management modules like Contacts, Tasks, Files, Projects, Forums, Issue Tracker, Knowledge Base, Clients, and Expenses. The system is fully customizable to each organization's needs through the intuitive browser based "Manage My PMS" web module. The application is similar to products from companies like Microsoft's project Manager, and Groove's P2P collaboration tool, at a fraction of the cost to enterprise, and medium size organizations.
"Microsoft demands heavy server investments; Groove and others charge heavily for CALs (client Access Licenses), while KIWI's Digiplates Software approach is a more cost effect ASP offering which allows company's to set up "instant intranets" worldwide at branch offices with little or zero startup cost," said Toby Morning, SVP of KIWI and CEO of Digiplates Software.
Koala is developing an International Mobile Virtual Network Operator (IMVNO) platform to allow the delivery of voice, data and Short Messaging over multiple networks. Concurrent with the IMVNO development, Koala is pursuing the development of applicable devices to serve the network subscribers. The IMVNO strategy will enable subscribers to access the Internet, play and store MP3, utilize existing applications including calendaring, contact management systems, email and Short Messaging and additional functionality, some not currently available in the marketplace. The technology is compatible with all major cellular carriers, ISPs and virtual network company's such as Microsoft Corp., (Nasdaq:MSFT) (cellular), AOL (ISP) Time Warner Inc., (NYSE:TWX) and Covad Communications Group Inc., (OTCBB:COVD).
