Ending the war early brought POW's home early. Simple common sense. A real POW from the biggest camp was on TV and disputed the lone smearvet's claim that anyone had even heard of Kerry in Vietnam, much less gotten tortured because of him. That torture story is pure fabrication by a former POW who happens to be a fervent Bush supporter. besides, all he says is he "remembers Kerry's name". While Tommy Franks states that he can't remember jack from 35 years ago. And if this POW was tortured why didn't he complain 35 years ago? Why wait until election time when the Texas rightwingers are doling out cashola for anyone who wants to make up stories? One thing we know, Kerry was a combat hero and then a powerful peace-maker. And also that Vietnam was the biggest mistake American made in the entire century.
