The fight was started by the extreme right. You can go way back to Whitewater, but let's start when the rightwing abused 9-11 to try and instill extreme rightwing control over the country and press. If they had been decent people they'd have let us be one united country but no, they decided fratrcide was the best way to go. They demonizeed anyone who disagreed with them a la the German Nazi party or old Soviets, Coulter going so far as to call all democrats "traitors". Hannity and Limbaugh did the same sort of thing. This opened the floodgates for more and more idiotic and hatred extremism on the right, then finally caused a backlash from the left. The righwing turned out to be wrogn about Iraq and most everything else, but they don't care if they're wrong, or how much they hurt the country. The good news is that these rightwing extremists are about to be severely punished. I see Tom Delay falling now. Next will be Bush and Cheney. And then Kerry will do a great job as a president and prove them all liars.
