<Since nearly every Intel group in the entire Western World as well as in the US, including the past Admin, the House and the Senate, in addition to Bush, etc etc....thought that Saddam had WMD, and said so. See many many direct quotes and the MSM where they were printed as exact quotes in quote marks.
So many people said loudly there were WMD, that the flatulence from ALL these people must be what did cause the Ozone hole. Yep, that's it alright. <snicker>
But not me. I said there weren't any WMDs that mattered. It was hilarious when the USA invasion forces were shouting "Gas Gas Gas" and people assumed that because some Iraqi troops had anti-gas clothing they must have had gas. Rather than the obvious conclusion that they KNOW the USA has LOTS of gas and would use it if thought useful. Maybe just tear gas!
Some things one doesn't need incontrovertible evidence about to be pretty sure. WMDs couldn't reasonably exist in any significant way in Iraq after all the drama of the 1990s.
What we can conclude from the situation is that "Intel", or more correctly and to avoid any untoward association with the reputable ASIC manufacturer, "Military Intelligence", should be treated as the joke it traditionally is.
For decades, intelligence and military intelligence in particular have been one of the most egregiously nutty arms of government power freaks. That applies to all countries, not just the USA. NZ's intelligence is hilarious. A bit like the Keystone Cops.
They've had Ahmed Zauoi in prison now for nearly two years and are still trying to get the paper-work sorted out. It's a pathetic and cruel joke. The bloke is obviously no threat at all. Everyone knows him. He couldn't do anything without being seen by 20 people.
BTW, despite my careful explication on the methane/ozone/greenhouse relationship, you got it wrong again!! I'd hate to be your science teacher. The class-room would be a shambles. Actually, come to think of it, I recall it was fun in science to use bunsen burners and the gas outlet in unapproved ways. Methane is a great product.
