i don't think it's Alzheimer's. to me the simpler explanation is that he probably just has a low IQ. you wouldn't notice in normal situations, but the intellectual demands of his job make his shortcomings apparent. it must be frustrating for him, poor guy.

really, the US should have a minimum IQ test for presidential candidates, like you have to have at least a 100 IQ.
