afl-cio it gets real nasty around afl-cio i grew up with strikes and saw a lot of pickets and members do some awful things.. as a kid it was a shock to see destruction being done by my neighbors on people crossing lines, non covered employees, nails being thrown in front of the cars, gates getting welded shut at night while the cops stand there watching them, and god forbid someone needed gas and drove into a local station. i saw one guy put his fist threw a window to hit a guy. It was a regular routine,, about every two years the place would get ready for another strike.
