You don't see the magic because you haven't been 25 meters down where you can hear the sounds of the fish, feel the currents and thermals in the water and touch a few things (if you are very careful - never coral, of course).

BTW, just buy your own wet suit and regulator and your hygiene issue vanishes too. Plus you have gear you can count on at the aforementioned 25 meters deep.

I hate it when people use the old cliche "you don't know what you are missing" but in this case, don't knock it until you try it. Most divers are seriously addicted.
