Logically considering it: a communication of any sort (vocal, email,
typewritten, morse code, thought...) addressed to God would be considered a prayer.

Especially considering God is omniscient. As Jesus said, God knows the number of hairs on our head and is aware of each sparrow that falls to the ground. In other words, nothing happens that he isn't aware of. When we address him, it is by definition a prayer. I just looked up the dictionary definition of prayer and it is broad enough to include a letter addressed to God as a prayer.
