Flu vaccines ARE directly controlled by the government. Vaccines are a loser for Big Pharma, and if left to their own devices, they wouldn't make ANY - not enough profit. So, every year the government has to find companies that WILL make Flu vaccine, subsidize them, along with many other vaccines. Bush chose to go cheap and have only TWO companies make the Flu vaccine for this year. So, if you get the Flu because you didn't get vaccinated - it REALLY IS Bush's fault! If your elderly mother dies from Flu - blame Bush!
